Diaplo is a small islet that can be reached by boat from Mathraki. Its rocky coastline is surrounded by exotic waters and the islet is shrubby. It is uninhabited and the only building you are going to find is the small chapel of Saint Nicolas. The islet is part of the Natura 2000 network as the natural inhabitant of various species of birds and hares. Diaplo is also known as “Donkey Island” since donkeys used to occupy the island in the past.
